Every batch at MacDaddy's is a study in precision — from the proofing time to the glaze ratio. This is a garage built around one obsession: the perfect donut, brewed right, served with intent.
MacDaddy's Donut Garage started with a simple conviction: a donut deserves the same attention a master baker gives to a sourdough loaf. Not mass-produced. Not rushed. Made deliberately, in small batches, with ingredients you can actually pronounce.
We opened our doors on 4th Street because Ironton deserved a place that treated coffee as seriously as craft beer — where the pour matters, the roast is intentional, and the donut sitting beside it isn't an afterthought but the main event.
Every morning, our team proofs, fries, glazes, and finishes by hand. Some days we run out early. That's not a problem — it's a promise.
Yeast-raised, never cake. We ferment overnight for flavor complexity that no shortcut can replicate. The texture is light, the crumb even — and it holds a glaze the way it should.
Single-origin beans, roasted to highlight the notes that complement our glazes. Espresso pulled to order. Drip brewed to temperature. If it doesn't pair well with a donut, it doesn't leave the shop.
Glaze temperature is everything. Too warm and it runs; too cool and it cracks. We dial it in. Toppings are sourced, not sprinkled from a shaker. Every donut gets the same deliberate finish.
Fresh batches. Every morning.
Come early. Stay for the coffee. Leave with a box.
